I can't stop reading Arnost Lustig, even though I know his books are challenging, they are so brilliantly written, they feel sacred, and deserve to be read., again and again. This one is a brilliant, heart-eviscerating, minute by minute portrayal of the elaborate subterfuge the Nazis used to lure, groom and steal from their hapless victims. #fridayreads
