women's work: lockdown resources for domestic abuse

Now that we’re all back in lock down thanks to Omicron, we need to revisit the issue of domestic violence. During the first few months of the outbreak, spousal abuse in the U.S. increased by 30%. Sadly, for some, sheltering at home is no shelter at all. Hopefully, we will soon be liberated from our latest viral incarceration, but in the meantime, it’s good to keep these resources on hand. For yourself or a friend. In Canada, there is a National Sexual Assault Hotline available 24 hours: Call 1- 800-656-4673. Chatelaine Magazine compiled an excellent list of Canadian resources by province, which you can check out here: https://www.chatelaine.com/living/project97-living/canadian-assault-centres-and-services/.

Michelle Cardillo put together a list of international resources at: https://www.mysticmag.com/psychic-reading/domestic-violence-resource-guide/. An unusual connection but her list is comprehensive.

Stay safe!
